In a heartwarming celebration of progress and compassion, Mayor Atty. Weng Lizares, joined by Sangguniang Panlungsod Members Engr. Kenn Tirthdas and Engr. Emmanuel Ebro, led the turnover ceremony of a newly completed two-classroom building at San Fernando Elementary School on July 4.

The classroom project—initially launched under the #Gwapongaserbisyo program of former Mayor Neil Lizares—now continues under the #GwapaNgaPanghimanwa leadership of Mayor Weng Lizares. It stands as a powerful symbol of the city’s unwavering commitment to quality education, safe learning spaces, and a brighter future for Talisaynon youth.

In addition to the new classrooms, Grades 1 to 6 students received brand-new school bags, learning kits, and books to support their studies and encourage lifelong learning.

To further serve the broader community, the city government also turned over a Best Tank water storage system to Barangay San Fernando, offering a temporary solution to water supply challenges while long-term infrastructure improvements are underway.

San Fernando Elementary School Principal Dr. Romelyn Carcueva expressed deep gratitude for the city’s steadfast support, while Barangay Captain PB Winefredo Diotay extended thanks on behalf of the residents for the generous and timely assistance.

Also present at the event were Former SP Member Gorgonio Treyes, District III PSDS Dr. Romualdo Batallones, and Brgy. Kagawad Susan Banhao, all sharing in the celebration of a community effort dedicated to lifting lives through inclusive and responsive public service.
