Mayor-Elect Atty. Rowena “Weng” Lizares, together with Mayor Neil Lizares, led Team Talisay in welcoming potential Korean investors during a strategic business meeting held on June 20, 2025, at the Palm Fairway Club, Barangay Zone 15, Talisay City.
The meeting explored the proposed development of a premier golf course and leisure estate, with potential plans for a dedicated Korean Town or Village—a concept that reflects Talisay’s growing reputation as a vibrant destination for eco-leisure, cross-cultural tourism, and sustainable development. The project is expected to generate local jobs, stimulate technology transfer, and boost tourism investment, positioning the city as a key player in Negros’ hospitality and green infrastructure sectors.
The presence of both the outgoing and incoming mayors underscored a unified leadership committed to building investor confidence and ensuring a seamless transition that champions long-term, inclusive progress for all Talisaynons.
