Talisay City Earns "Very Good" Rating in Regional MELLPI Pro Nutrition Evaluation
The Talisay City Government, led by Mayor Atty. Weng Lizares and the City Nutrition Office under Gemma Gonzaga, successfully concluded the Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) Pro evaluation with a feedback session on June 25 at the Mayor’s Conference Room.
During the session, the Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team officially awarded Talisay City a "very good" rating. The evaluators commended the city's flagship nutrition initiatives and congratulated several barangays for achieving 100% implementation of targeted programs for undernourished children. The team also highlighted the effective delivery of community-based services, specifically noting the impact of Kusina ni Mayor Weng, Botika ni Doc, and the Konsulta kay Doc program.
Gwapa Nga Panghimanwa and the City Nutrition Office expressed deep appreciation for the evaluation team's expertise and guidance. The administration affirmed that the team's professional recommendations will be actively integrated into the city's long-term health and nutrition strategies to ensure the sustainability of these vital services.
The city extends its gratitude to the Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team, composed of Jasmine Kate Laserna and Ma. Nadella Tad-y. Acknowledgment is also given to the Talisay DepEd family, including Fely Palmares (District 3), Liza Aloba (District 1), Elena Ereje (District 2), and Division Nurse Steffanie May Sobrepeña, RN.
Furthermore, Gwapa Nga Panghimanwa recognizes the City Nutrition Office, the City Nutrition Council, Nutrition Coordinator Carleen Ann Cutanda, RN, Gerjons Gumban of the City Agriculture Office, Leonard Aguiman of the CSWDO, Assistant City Administrator Ismael Penado, and PB Edwin Iledan of Brgy. Zone 12A for their essential support and dedication to the evaluation's success.
