TALISAY CITY PRIMARY HEALTH CARE FACILITY STRENGTHENS WATER SAFETY COMPLIANCE IN COORDINATION MEETING WITH REFILLING STATION OPERATORS
City Government of Talisay, Negros Occidental
To ensure clean, safe, and high-quality drinking water across the city, the Talisay City Primary Care Facility convened 68 water refilling station owners and operators for the 1st Coordination and Compliance Meeting on September 2 at the New Talisay Public Market Conference Room.
The session was led by Assistant City Health Officer Dr. Raul Fama, together with Health Education and Promotion Officer (HEPO) Coordinator Jennifer Baradas, Sanitary Inspector Erl Rosmer Baradas, and Talisay City United Refilling Station President Cedrick Legarde.
Key Regulatory Focus Areas:
- Regulatory Compliance: Strict adherence to the Philippine National Standards for Drinking Water (PNSDW) and the Sanitation Code of the Philippines (Presidential Decree No. 856).
- Water Safety Plans: Implementation of operational frameworks to prevent contamination at the source and distribution levels.
- Mandatory Testing: Execution of strict monthly water sampling protocols, covering both bacteriological testing and physico-chemical analysis.
With 68 station operators aligned on regulatory expectations, the City Government of Talisay reinforces its proactive stance against waterborne health risks. Moving forward, the City Health Office will conduct continuous monitoring and enforce adherence to testing schedules to guarantee safe drinking water for all Talisaynons.
