Twelve (12) proud entrepreneurs from the City of Talisay successfully participated and completed the SEAL-BETA (Small Enterprise Acceleration Lab- Business Expansion thru Training and Accelerate) Negros Occidental held last June 17–20, 2025, at Park Inn by Radisson, SM City Bacolod. The events gathered over 60 micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) participants from across the province and was made possible through the collaborative efforts of DTI, PTTC, BanKo, and the BPI Foundation.

Weng Lizares—Talisay City’s First Lady and its first-ever female mayor—into the national circle of public service during the League of Cities of the Philippines’ Special General Assembly, held on June 18 in Manila.

Talisay City is ramping up efforts to ensure public safety, health, and disaster readiness as Mayor Neil Lizares presided over two crucial back-to-back meetings on June 5 at Nature’s Village Resort. The Joint CADAC, CPOC, and TCDRRM Council Meeting was followed by the Talisay Local Health Board Meeting, focusing on urgent priorities across security, disaster preparedness, and healthcare.

In a significant step toward strengthening peace and order, Mayor Neil Lizares, alongside incoming Mayor-elect Atty. Weng Lizares, officially turned over four brand-new NMAX motorcycles to the Talisay City Component Police Station on June 5 at Nature’s Village Resort.

In a momentous and solemn session held at 10:00 AM today at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Session Hall, the City Board of Canvassers officially proclaimed the newly elected officials of Talisay City.

Talisay City continues to strengthen its commitment to education with the turnover of a newly constructed covered court at Catabla Baybay Elementary School on March 24. The facility, officially handed over by Mayor Neil Lizares and Vice Mayor Nic Jalandoni, provides a safe and comfortable space for students and teachers to hold school activities, sports events, and community gatherings. The project, which began on October 12, 2023, and was completed in February 2024, was funded through the Local School Board’s Special Education Fund (SEF) as part of the city's ongoing efforts to enhance learning environments and support student development.
